Πέντε δίσκοι από εκλεκτό Takamaki-e από τη Συλλογή Αριστουργημάτων του Hiroshige - Ξύλο - Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) - Ιαπωνία - 1900-2000

Item Description: This is a remarkable set of five kaiseki lacquer trays (kaiseki zen) featuring exquisite Takamakie (high-relief lacquer work) landscapes based on Hiroshige’s famous "Tōkaidō Gojūsan-tsugi" (The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō) series. Each tray showcases a unique scenic vista, finely rendered in gold and colored powders, capturing the serenity and elegance of Edo-period Japan. The central motifs depict landscapes with rivers, boats, travelers, and traditional homes, framed with inscriptions and seals attributing them to Utagawa Hiroshige, one of the most influential ukiyo-e artists in Japanese history. His masterful depictions of Japan's travel routes, especially the Tōkaidō, contributed to the appreciation of natural beauty and daily life in 19th-century Japan. Crafted with precision and artistic mastery, these trays are both decorative and functional, embodying the Japanese tradition of kaiseki cuisine presentation. While most of the trays are in excellent condition, one piece shows a visible crack, which adds to the vintage character of the set. This set is housed in its original wooden storage box, indicative of the traditional methods used to store and transport such valuable lacquerware. Size: Tray (each): 36 cm × 36 cm × 5.5 cm Box: 41 cm × 40 cm × 24.5 cm Total Weight (including box): 3700g Artist Profile: 歌川広重 Utagawa Hiroshige (1797–1858) Also known as Andō Tokutarō, Hiroshige was a leading figure in the ukiyo-e movement and is best known for his landscapes. He studied under Utagawa Toyohiro and gained immense fame with the publication of the "Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō" in the 1830s. His ability to capture atmospheric beauty, seasons, and light greatly influenced Western artists, particularly the Impressionists such as Monet and Van Gogh. NOTICE: The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post, DHL or FedEx depend on the situation. It takes about 3 weeks to receive normally. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Sometimes Customes or delivery company in your country contact you for Customs clearance via phone or email. Please make sure that you could answer the phone. If you don't, the parcel will return to me and it cost more double shipping fee for reshipping. I appreciate your cooperation.
